Uses too much resources, 92,920k is far too much for a journal. Too many dialogs too open, should be a clean one page journal. There are many free programs better than this outdated bloatware.

Make it much more beautiful with a huge variety of backgrounds and styles to the pages. A lot of people who take time to write in journals buy special blank books with great covers and beautiful pages, making it fun to look at and use each day. Try

The user interface is very bland and not very inspiring - improve the GUI to bring it up to present day graphics splendour

Print multiple entries based on tag or date range.

Response from the site administrator
Chrysanth, 12.10.2011
Now you can already do that. Go to Tag view, click at any of the tags, select all, press Print. Or go to Month view, select any month, select all entries, press Print.

$54.36 is a rediculous price for a beta product that we actually don't need. It should be less then free.

Tabbed windows option

The current scheme uses popup windows for the editor, etc. I would like to see them in a tabbed browser format. It makes it easier to switch back and forth between the components. and doesn't clutter the desktop or tool bar.

Help is Inadequate. Select help and it launches: http://journal.writing.my/support/. Provide help for: 1) Getting Rid of the Charity Ad, 2) Creating a plugin or at least where to find one (find more plugins doesn't lead anywhere).

Response from the site administrator
Chrysanth, 13.10.2011
1. Turn off the charity ad via Options window.
2. I am sorry for the misleading landing page.

Remove the charity link

A $54.36 program shouldn't have a Red Cross charity link taking up a line of the page.
Response from the site administrator
Chrysanth, 13.10.2011
You can turn off the link via Options.

Get rid of tryal pay pop up - when I leave a page, I can return. But if a page tries to avoid letting me go out - then I'll certanly never return.

Encrypt the database when using password protection option. The password protected file can easily be viewed with a hex editor as it is now.

1. In the Calender options have a button to jump to today and have another button that jumps to a random day in the journal history so you can randomly be reminded about past events

If you would like this properly evaluated, give us enough to evaluate. I have actually been looking for this type of software for quite some time. I think I have evaluated nearly all that offer a free option and I have to say, most of the free option

Hi Beth, tt's a full version given away for free yesterday, no strings attached, it won't expire, and not a scaled down version.

I like this it has different functions than Zen writer, which is great! I would like to see it have backgrounds, and more themes and even soothing music (some of the greatest features of Zen Writer. otherwise I think is is cool.

There are only 3 themes to pick from. Why not allow the user to customize the theme and background.

The program only has 3 themes and it suggest they have more, but none are listed on their website. Many programs, including internet explorer, allow you to customize your theme by using a color pallet. You could also alow the user to use their own...

Be able to do something with the journal once written. Seems to be a one way street of entering data with no way to print or do much with the massive amount of data I would enter.

Response from the site administrator
Chrysanth, 12.10.2011
You may do anything once you entered an entry. Try double clicking on it, you will be able to browse it. If you want to print it, right click on it, choose Print.
